Kaplan Gas Processing Plant
The Kaplan Gas Processing Plant was a green-field project for PSI that began in 2007. Construction of the plant finished in early 2008 when the plant went into service processing natural gas on Transco’s Central System which interconnects with their mainline at Station 50. The Kaplan Plant processes both on and offshore natural gas.
Cameron Meadows Gas Processing Plant
The Cameron Meadows Gas Processing Plant was purchased by PSI in November of 2009. The facility consists of two trains, the Johnson’s Bayou Train, and the Cameron Train. They are 200 MMcfd and 300 MMcfd respectively. The Cameron Meadows Train is currently the only train in service. The Cameron Meadows facility processes natural gas off of Transco’s North High Island System, Transco’s West Cameron System, and UTOS.
West Cameron Lateral
The West Cameron Lateral is a 30 inch, 30 mile offshore natural gas pipeline that was purchased by PSI in early 2008 from Tennessee Gas Pipeline. The pipeline runs west to east from West Cameron 498 to East Cameron 227, where it ties in to Texas Eastern’s West Louisiana System.
Bayou Hebert Lateral
The Bayou Hebert Lateral is an 8 inch, 15 mile onshore natural gas pipeline that was purchased by PSI in early 2011 from Live Oak Pipeline Company L.L.C. The pipeline gathering system extends from the Intracoastal City area, Vermilion Parish, Louisiana to the Bayou Hebert Canal area, Vermilion Parish, Louisiana.
Central Louisiana Gathering System
The Central System is a 160 mile long gathering system serving production from onshore Vermilion, Lafayette, Jefferson Davis and Acadia Parishes. It is composed of gathering laterals that range in size from 3” in diameter to 18” in diameter.
The Central System feeds the PSI Kaplan Plant for processing, and gas is delivered into Transco at the tailgate of the Kaplan Plant. The Transco pipeline then feeds their Station 50 where it ties into their main transmission lines. PSI’s Kaplan Gas Plant provides the only NGL extraction and gas conditioning services on the Central System.
